Hey there, Liz here!
We are hard at work on Battlerite Royale, and we’ve got more to share with you! This past week a couple interviews were published on gaming news websites and while some of the information covered there is in this Dev Update, there is also some new information mixed in as well. Just keep in mind, Battlerite Royale is still in alpha and nothing is completely set in stone.
So, let’s just jump into it then! Read more »

Last week we announced our partnership with Twitch and Nexon and the creation of the Battlerite Pro League and Rising Stars, the professional and preliminary Battlerite leagues. There’s a lot to look forward to in esports for Battlerite, and given that the Battlerite Pro League Open Qualifiers are going on, we thought it was a good idea to give an in-depth breakdown of the structure of both of these leagues. Hello brawlers! My name is Rickard ‘Gedan’ Frisegård, CEO at Stunlock Studios – better known for being the winner of the first “unofficial” Battlerite skirmish, a proud father of two, and with an extended family of 45 colleagues. Liz asked me if I wanted to write today’s Dev Blog, our last Dev Blog before Free to Play, and I agreed. I wanted to use this moment to reflect on what we have achieved, give thanks to the community, and show my appreciation to everyone who has been working so hard (for over 830 days) to make Battlerite, our crown achievement, a reality. Hey everyone, Liz here for quick snippet.
Everyone is rather busy with the big day coming up and we’re all excited for the new players who will be joining us then.
Coming out of Early Access is going to bring changes, and one of those we’ve talked about internally is the future of the Dev Blog. We do know that this form will not be weekly but rather once or twice monthly with no set schedule.
That being said, Ilves has information on changes coming to Battlerite once we get to November 8th – updates to DLC, new bundles, changes to pricing and details on some shiny new cosmetics.

I’m afraid I have the not-so-exciting news of letting you know that we do not have a prepared dev blog today. Last week, everyone in the team was hands on deck bug fixing and testing that we never got chance to prepare a proper dev blog as usual. You have our sincerest apologies!
As regards to when the patch will go live, our goal right now is to get this to you tomorrow (Tuesday 24th October). The only reason this would change is if unexpected bugs were to occur from us fixing other bugs (such is the way of game development /sweatdrop). In that case we may have to delay another day or two, but we will keep in touch with how things are going.
